Fair Use Policy
It is important at Lyca Xfinity that all eligible customers are able to access our service. For this reason, and to ensure provision of a quality service, a Fair Use Policy applies to our services. We reserve the right to apply restrictions to any uncapped account if the behaviour of the consumer is deemed to be affecting the experience of others on the network or is deemed to be abusive.
Please ensure you have read and understood our Fair Use Policy, which forms part of the General Terms and Conditions (as applicable).
The thresholds below have been created to provide more bandwith than the average, so as to improve your experience. If your usage is considered excessive or unreasonable, we may apply restrictions to your connection, which includes, but is not limited to, throttling of your throughput and/or shaping of your bandwith to limit the use of bandwith intensive application or protocols.
FUP Levels Explained
Our FUP is dynamic and, if a customer reaches these levels, their connection will be throttled. What is throttling? Throttling allows for internet browsing, but at a reduced speed. Once you have reached the threshold below, your speed will be limited.
The thresholds listed below are for the “Home Uncapped” products.
Once a threshold is reached, the connection speed will be adjusted until the reset date, which is the 1st of the next month. There are two thresholds for each account, and the speed will be limited when each of these have been reached.
